  • Developed and delivered the PDSA Cycle 2-day workshop for 28 administrators from 14 international schools focused on building systems thinking into the school improvement work of middle leaders.
  • Supervision and Implementation of numerous third party training programs for faculty and staff including Professional Learning Communities, DataWise, Google Educator Certification, and Project Zero Programs.
  • Facilitated the redesign and implementation of an updated comprehensive, competency based faculty evaluation system. Provided oversight and mentorship to middle leaders in their supervision of faculty.
  • Trained and mentored middle leaders to utilize  a teacher selection protocol based on Ventures for Excellence behavioral interviewing techniques and James Stronge’s Qualities of Effective Teachers.
  • Established Google Tools for Education as an integral part of the school’s working environment for allfaculty, staff, and students. Utilized the SAMR framework to effectively integrate tools into daily teaching.

School Improvement Leadership

  • Developed and implemented School Based Instructional Rounds Process (Project Zero) in an independent Upper School to facilitate the integration of SEL standards (CASEL) while maintaining a rigorous academic environment.
  • Implemented a three stage program to improve overall academic outcomes in each division of a K-12 independent school.  Elements included the implementation of the DataWise Program (Project Zero), a vertical alignment initiative, and an emphasis on refocusing the work of Division Directors (Principals) as instructional leaders.
  • Improved IBDP pass rates in an independent Upper School from 50% to over 90% in two academic years.  Pass rate increases were achieved while maintaining a core philosophy of access to the IBDP for all students.
  • Significant experience in multiple settings with the implementation of quality assurance and accreditation frameworks including AdvancED, SAIS, FCIS, MSCHE and the International Baccalaureate Organization.

Transitioned the faculty from a teaching culture to a learning culture. Key outcomes of the Academic Platform implementation include IB Diploma Candidates’ pass rates (90+%), top tier college admissions, and historic highs registered on annual Parent Satisfaction Surveys.
  • Led the relocation, redesign and staffing overhaul of an independent school boarding program to ensure that student and parent experience exceeded expectations for an elite level boarding experience. Expanded enrollment capacity for the boarding program from 80 to 160 students.
  • Upgraded rigorous and relevant curriculum in a public high school including development and implementation of a Mandarin Program, Project Lead the Way, the IB Diploma Programme, and PE-4Life.
  • Developed educational specifications to guide the design, planning, construction, and opening of a new $56,000,000 high school facility.

Financial Oversight and Enrollment Management

  • Development, planning, and oversight of a $35 million+  annual independent school budget. Successfully met all budget targets each year, including through substantial operational disruptions due to COVID-19 in FY20.
  • Led the development and implementation of an independent school “Together Again” plan to provide continuity of learning to the school’s students due to emergency restrictions resulting from the spread of COVID-19 in the region. Maintained full enrollment throughout the 2020-2021 school year, increased the school's net promoter score by 7 points, and achieved a 96% “strongly agree” survey response for “my child is safe at school”.
